Night : Chapter -10

The sun that shines all day so bright,
I wonder where it goes at night.
It sinks behind a distant hill
And all the world grows dark and still.

And then I go to bed and sleep Until the day begins to peep.

And when my eyes open, I see the Sun is shining down on me.

Ans. The Sun seems to go behind a distant hill after the end of the day.

Ans. Sunflower, plants, and children need the Sun because they grow, stay healthy, and get energy from it.

3. The poem talks about the Sun in the sky. What else do you see when you look up at the sky?
Ans. I also see clouds, the moon, stars, and sometimes flying birds or kites in the sky.

B. Think and answer.

1. What different colours do we get to see during sunrise and sunset?
Ans. During sunrise and sunset, we see red, orange, yellow, pink, purple, and sometimes golden colours in the sky.

2. What do you see when you look at the sky at night?
Ans. At night, I see the moon, stars, constellations, and sometimes clouds.

3. How do you feel when you open your eyes in the morning?
Ans. I feel fresh, happy, and ready to start a new day when I open my eyes in the morning.

4. Imagine a day when the Sun doesn’t come out. Talk about how the day would be.
Ans. If the Sun doesn’t come out, the day would be dark, cold, and gloomy. Plants would not grow, people would feel sad and tired, and life would be difficult.
